Research Summary

Our research focuses on the discovery and development of efficient catalytic methods for chemical synthesis (especially for synthesis of bioactive compounds and pharmaceuticals) with an emphasis on asymmetric catalysis. The ultimate goal of our research is to provide chemists with new catalysts and new organic reactions of practical applications in pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Our focus on both fundamental and practical aspects of reaction discovery provides an opportunity for students to get trained in various aspects of synthetic organic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, and asymmetric catalysis.
